The product can stream music from 100 thousands of radio stations from Internet to a mobile phone and the user needn’t have to carry a seperate MP3 player. As Geodesic say  “Who needs an MP3 player when you have a mobile phone?”

Speaking at the launch, Kiran Kulkarni, Managing director – Geodesic, said, “Mundu Radio heralds a new era of unlimited mobile entertainment for the new generation, which is constantly on the move. Mobile devices today are ubiquitous, and users have shown a clear preference to having all their content available on their phones.”

This new service operates on mobile phones with an Internet connection (GPRS – CDMA and GSM) and compatible with popular handsets based on Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Palm OS platforms. Unlike the existing MP3 streaming on most mobile phones, Mundu supports streaming at 24Kbps and 32Kbps making for superior sound quality.

The beta version of Mundu Radio can be downloaded for free here.

Mundu Radio is the newest entry to the Mundu family of products.
